Using 4 Core Curriculum to Build a Generation of Leaders

This main curriculum is used with the hope that LKBW can contribute to educating the nation and producing resilient, independent, and successful young generations with leadership qualities that are humble and sincere, similar to the leadership of the Prophet’s companion Khalid bin Walid r.a. and the leadership of the young historical figure Muhammad Al Fatih, who carved the glorious history of Constantinople (Istanbul, Turkey).

Guaranteed Quality of Al-Qur'an Competency from Ummi Foundation: For 12 years, Ummi Foundation has supported 5,000 institutions and 30,000 Al-Qur'an teachers across Indonesia, producing a Qur'anic Generation.

Ummi Foundation uses the Ummi method in Al-Quran education. This method is a system with a strategy based on the mother tongue approach.

By using the Ummi method from Ummi Foundation, SMP Leaderss Khalid bin Walid can produce generations with quality assurance:

  1. Students are able to recite the Qur'an with tajweed (pass munaqosah).
  2. Students memorize 3 Juz (Juz 30, 29, 28), and are proficient in memorizing 2 Juz of the Qur'an (Juz 30 and 29).

Quranic Competence - Based Curriculum (QCBC)

Quranic Competence-Based Curriculum adalah suatu pendekatan dalam pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan pemahaman dan pengajaran Al-Qur'an ke dalam kurikulum dengan fokus pada pengembangan kompetensi atau keterampilan murid. Konsep ini bertujuan untuk menjadikan Al-Qur'an sebagai sumber inspirasi utama dalam pembentukan pengetahuan dan keterampilan murid, serta mengaitkan ajaran-ajaran dalam Al-Qur'an dengan berbagai disiplin ilmu yang diajarkan di sekolah.

  1. Beberapa aspek utama dari pendekatan Quranic Competence-Based Curriculum adalah:

     

    1. Integrasi Al-Qur’an dalam Pembelajaran: Dalam kurikulum ini, ajaran Al-Qur’an tidak hanya diajarkan dalam mata pelajaran agama Islam, tetapi juga diintegrasikan dalam mata pelajaran lain seperti ilmu pengetahuan, matematika, bahasa, dan sains, di mana nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an menjadi dasar pemikiran dan pendekatan pembelajaran.

     

    1. Pengembangan Kompetensi: Fokus utama dari kurikulum berbasis kompetensi ini adalah pada pengembangan keterampilan dan kemampuan murid.     Dengan demikian, Quranic Competence-Based Curriculum bukan hanya bertujuan untuk menciptakan generasi yang memiliki pengetahuan agama yang mendalam, tetapi juga untuk menghasilkan individu yang kompeten dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, baik itu dalam aspek akademis, sosial, maupun spiritual.

Building Learning Power (BLP) Curriculum

Building Learning Power (BLP) is a concept introduced by British psychologist Guy Claxton, focusing on helping students become resilient, adaptable learners. BLP emphasizes that learning isn't just about mastering knowledge but also about enhancing one's ability to learn effectively.

BLP helps students to:

  1. Learn persistently: Encouraging sustained effort and concentration.
  2. Manage distractions: Teaching students to cope with challenges like hunger, anxiety, or fatigue.
  3. Focus attention: Helping them hone the skill to concentrate on what’s important in detail.
  4. Put in hard work: Cultivating the understanding that success doesn’t come easily and requires effort.

Sekolah Alam Student Scout (SASS) Leadership Curriculum

The Sekolah Alam Student Scout (SASS) leadership program is designed to develop the leadership qualities of students through outdoor activities and experiential learning. This approach encourages students to take initiative, develop problem-solving skills, and enhance their teamwork abilities, all while promoting values of independence, responsibility, and cooperation.
